Intergenerational Visit - Thingwall Primary School World Book Day

We had a very special visit at Trepassey recently as we welcomed the wonderful pupils from Thingwall Primary School to celebrate World Book Day with our residents.

The children arrived dressed as their favourite book characters and spent time chatting with residents, sharing stories, and reading from some of their favourite books. It was lovely to see the different generations coming together, with plenty of smiles, laughter and conversation throughout the visit.

Our residents thoroughly enjoyed listening to the stories and learning about the children’s favourite characters, while the pupils were delighted to spend time getting to know everyone and sharing their love of reading.

To finish the visit, the children very kindly gifted our residents beautiful handmade bookmarks, which were a thoughtful keepsake to remember the day.

Moments like this truly highlight the value of intergenerational connections, bringing joy to both young and old. We would like to say a big thank you to Thingwall Primary School for such a wonderful visit — we hope to welcome them back again soon.
